Kiroumaru (奇狼丸 Kirōmaru) is the supreme commander of the Giant Hornets colony. He proved to be the most faithful monster rat by sacrificing himself when asked.

Appearance

Even though Kiromaru is a Monster Rat, he don't appear like the others of his kind. He's taller than most humans with grayish colored fur. He has blue eyes and a head full of hair (Mane). Also not having the two front teeth like others, instead Kiromaru has a long muzzle with sharp teeth. Kiromaru wore a plate of armor before most other Monster Rats did. Resembling a human more than the others of his kind.

Biography

Kiromaru was best known for being the Giant Hornets colony commander. Upon first meeting Saki and her friends he showed nothing but respect towards them. Even risking his life to assist them towards their destination.

It is shown he detested Squealer later in the series for setting up a branch of his colony for ambush. He also showed hostility towards the fellow Monster Rat in front of the humans when they were being questioned about the unprovoked attack.

When the Giant Hornets colony soldiers were wiped out he managed to survive by them throwing themselves in front of Kiromaru, to allow him an escape route. However; due to the plot hole around regarding the annihilation of the Giant Hornet colony, nobody is sure what happened.
