Main Characters
- Maria Akizuki Maria is a childhood friend of Mamoru, and his lifetime crush. In the manga, he told her he is fell in love with her when he entered Sage Academy.
- After the second timeskip, it is revealed that her and Mamoru had a daughter (son in the novel[1]) before both of them were killed by Monster Rats.[2]
- Saki Watanabe: Saki is a childhood friend of Mamoru. Although she becomes Maria's girlfriend after the first timeskip, Mamoru hardly shows any signs of jealousy towards her.[3]
- Shun Aonuma: Shun is a childhood friend of Mamoru. When the memories of the group are altered, so that they believe Ryou was their childhood friend instead of Shun, they talk about Ryou's house being different from the person they remember, and Mamoru mentions that he has never been to that person's house, implying that him and Shun were not as close with each other as the rest of the group.[4]
